- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup refried beans
- 1 cup salsa
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup sliced black olives
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1/4 cup sour cream (optional for serving)
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the taco seasoning and water to the skillet, and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Lightly brush the tortillas with vegetable oil and bake them on a sheet for 3-4 minutes per side until crispy.
- Spread a thin layer of refried beans on two tortillas and top with the seasoned beef.
- Place another tortilla on top of each, then spread salsa over each one.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese, diced tomatoes, black olives, and green onions on top.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Slice and serve with sour cream if desired.
Notes
For a spicier version, add jalapeños. Substitute ground beef with cooked vegetables for a vegetarian option.
