Description

A delicious cobbler combining the classic flavors of Bananas Foster with a warm, gooey dessert that is perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup brown sugar, divided
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup whole milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an oven-safe baking dish.
  2. Toss sliced bananas with half of the brown sugar in a bowl.
  3. Cream together softened butter and remaining brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Mix in flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and milk until smooth.
  5. Pour half of the batter into the prepared dish.
  6. Layer the banana slices on top.
  7. Dollop remaining batter over the bananas.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Allow cooling slightly before serving.

Notes

For a lighter option, use monk fruit or stevia to reduce sugar, and replace whole milk with almond or oat milk for a dairy-free version.
